Eberle died Dec. 22 at Caldwell County Hospital.
She is survived by six daughters, Melva Doane of Burna, Sue Dorris, Lue Watson and Pat Collins, all of Marion, Margaret Eberle of Princeton and Anna Belle Latham of Bremen; three sons, Bob Eberle of Burna, Bill Eberle of Marion and Arthur Eberle of Greenbrier, Ark.; a sister, Bobbie Patterson of Monroe, Mich.; two brothers, Albert Butler of Monroe and John Butler of Eddyville; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Merritt Eberle and Grady Eberle; and a grandson, Bill Eberle.

Ruth Ann Williams,
53, of Marion died Dec. 23 at her home.
She is survived by a son, Carlton Worley of Marion; a sister, Robbie Hardin of Westerville, Ind.; a brother, Paul Stalions of Joy; and a grandson, David Worley of Marion.
She was preceded in death by three hubands, Wayne Worley, James Paris and J.C. Williams.
Services were held Dec. 27 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert Alexander officiating. Burial was in Deer Creek Cemetery.
Pickens
Royce Pickens, 71,
of Marion died Dec. 21 at Crittenden Hospital.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Pickens is survived by three sisters, Louise Cochran and Katheryn Lemon, both of Hamilton, Ohio and Elizabeth King of Fenton, Mo.; two brothers, Jim Pickens of Hazelwood, Mo. and John Pickens of Canton, Miss.; a niece, Nora Metheny of Marion along with several other nieces and nephews.
Services were held Dec. 23 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Fayard officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Kirk
Alva Kirk, 81, of Burna, died Dec. 20 at Salem Springlake Care
Center. She was a member of Old Salem Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Connie James of Burna; a son, Robert Kirk of Burna; five sisters, Linnie Wayland of Deming, NM, Ruth Shepard of Paducah, Nina Ramey of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bonnie Phillips of Burna and Patsy Guymon of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Laymon Alsobrook of Deming, NM; two grandchildren; one step grandson and two step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard B. Kirk and her parents, Edgar and Martha Bateman Alsobrook.

Harley Hunt, 89, of Sparta, Ill., formerly of Marion, died Dec.
16 in Sparta.
Surviving are a son, Johnny Hunt of Percy, Ill.; two brothers, Hayden Hunt of Eureka, Mo., and Ted Hunt of Marion; two sisters, Billie Guess of Marion and Marium Marvel of Morganfield; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby M. Hunt.
Funeral services were held Dec. 18 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Hunt officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Davis
Claude Earl Davis, 64, of Marion, died Dec. 16 at Dawson Springs.
Graveside services were held Dec. 19 at Cave Hill Cemetery with
Rev. Arthur Austin Jr., officiating.
Survivors include a sister, Betty Cook of Marion; three brothers, Millard Davis of Eddyville, Thornton Davis of Springlake, Ill., and Iril Davis of Des Plains, Ill.; and a nephew, Gary Matz of Kuttawa.
Stokes
Phyllis E. Stokes, 53, of Evansville, formerly of Marion, died
Dec. 9 at St. Mary's Medical Center from injuries sustained in
a car accident.
Stokes was choir director at Mater Dei High School and many churches in and around Evansville. She was a member of Centenary Methodist Church.
A graduate of Central High School, Stokes was a 1975 graduate of the University of Evansville, where she earned a Master's degree in 1980.
Surviving are her husband of 34 years, John Stokes; a daughter, Ellen Holland of Evansville; two sons, Michael Stokes of Evansville and Robert Stokes of Bicknell; her mother, Gracie Louise Waldrop Tucker of Marion; a sister, Winona Baehl of Chrisney; a brother, Larry Tucker of Madisonville; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eldon Douthitt Tucker in 1987.
Funeral services were held Dec. 13 at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel with the Rev. William Copel officiating. Burial was in Tucker Cemetery in Kirksey, Ky.
Nall
Florence Phillips Nall, 97, formerly of Marion died Dec. 20 at
Hermitage Nursing Home.
She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church. Nall graduated from Mississippi University for Women and received a master's degree from Vanderbilt University. She taught at Murray State University in the 1930s.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Hayden of Owensboro and Peggy Ballard of Mayfield; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Nall was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Nall.
Services were held Dec. 23 at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro.
Rice
Docie Lavene Rice,
91, of Marion died Dec. 11 at Crittenden County Hospital.
She was a member of Marion Baptist Church.
Rice is survived by two sons, James Wallace Rice of Brownsville, Texas and Donald Wayne Rice of Evansville, Ind.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 16 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Clarke officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.

Maggie Dickerson, 92, of Salem died Dec. 9 at Oakview Nursing
and Rehabilitation Center in Calvert City.
She was a member of Dyer Hill Baptist Church.
Dickerson is survived by two sons, Eugene Wayne Dickerson of Paducah and Wilford Dickerson of Decatur, Ill.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Prudy Mitchell; a grandson; two brothers; and four sisters.
Services were held Dec. 12 at Dyer Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Lee officiating. Burial was in Dyer Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters, Janice Faith of Marion and Judy Watson of Rosiclaire, Ill.; six sisters, Mary Jane Rowe of Modesta, Ga., Lula Gilmore of Nashville, Tenn., Bonnie Hartley of Nashville, Wanda Ditty of Springfield, Ohio, Lucy Tedrick of Marion and Gladys DelNagro of Princeton; four brothers, Harry Easley of Princeton, Jake Easley, Willard Easley and Gleaford Easley, all of Marion; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Easley and his parents Al and Minnie Easley; four brothers; and two sisters.
Mott
Lauren Elizabeth Mott, infant daughter of Tad and Amanda Mott
of Benton, was born Dec. 5 and died Dec. 6 at Centennial Medical
Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Surviving are her parents; a twin sister, Sydney Katherine Mott, who remains in the neonatal intensive care unit at Centennial; grandparents, Rodney and Patty Alvey of Sturgis and Terry and Sue Mott of Grand Rivers; great-grandparents, Margaret Dilback of Sturgis and Raymond and Sue Alvey of Morganfield and H.T. and Rose Hall of Calvert City; and great-great-grandfather, Charles Quinn of Sturgis.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, William Dilback and great-grandparents Glenn and Louise Mott.
A private memorial service was held at her parent's home with Rev. Mark Gill officiating. Interment will be arranged at a later date. Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville is in charge of the arrangements.

Loreane Holloman, 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Marion
died Dec. 12.
She was a member of Midland St. Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.
She is survived by four sons, Elmer Holloman and Dennis Earl Holloman, both of Marion, Willie Holloman of Indiana and Billy Jo Holloman of Poplar Bluff; four daughters, Florence Keith, Shelby Fritts and Jerald Ann Curry, all of Poplar Bluff and Betty Corley of Marion; two brothers, Ernest Lemay of Tennessee and William Lemay of Florida; two sisters, Francie Lemay of California and Shirley Farley of Marion; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Hurley is survived by her husband, John Hurley of Carrsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and John Gernigin of Wood River, Ill.; four grandchildren, John Gernigan, Chris Gernigan, Jeff Gernigan and Shelby Gernigan; and a sister, Freda Cummings of Dow, Ill.

Anna Lee Turner Hughes, 90, of Pine Bluff, Ark., formerly of Crittenden
County died Dec. 4 at Pathfinders Nursing Home in Pine Bluff,
Ark.
She was a member of the Third Baptist Church, a retired private duty nurse and a Lady Kentucky Colonel.
Hughes is survived by a son, Billy Ray Hughes of Estel, Fla.; a daughter, Janie Wayne of Pine Bluff, Ark.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Billie Hoess, of Calumet City, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Claude Hughes.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Reidland.
Head is survived by five sisters, Beulah Mae Davison of Metropolis, Ill., Mildred Woodall of St. Louis, Mo., Norma Wuster, Eloise Ablett and Frances Arnold, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Hayden Head of Salem and Grover Head of Burna; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleve and Marjorie Thompson Head; a sister; and two brothers.

Willis M. (Bud) Nelms, 70, of Salem died Dec. 6 at Livingston
Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Nelms of Salem; a son, W.M. (Buddy) Nelms, Jr., of Carrsville; two daughters, Cynthia Adams and Kristi Butler, both of Paducah; three sisters; one brother; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Macie Nelms; and a daughter, Marsha Lynn Nelms.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Hobbs; and a brother, Shelby York.

Services for Russell Waters, 86, of Eddyville were held Nov. 28

Waters died Nov. 26 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
He was a self-employed farmer and a World War II veteran.
Waters is survived by three sons, Doug Waters and Terry Waters, both of Kuttawa and Dennis Waters of Benton; a daughter, Bonnie James of Eddyville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Rye Waters of Eddyville; and a sister, Lovie Peek of Eddyville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Reed Waters; a brother, George Waters; two sisters, Mary Waters and Thelma Lee Waters; a half brother, Loye Castleberry; and a half sister, Lena Belle Walker.

She worked as a cosmetologist for several years in Marion.

Monroe was a member of Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Monroe of Burna; a step son, Bruce Wring of Memphis, Tenn.; three step daughters Patty Patton of Marion, Margaret Fryar of Princeton and Barbara Watkins of Hobart, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; 17 step great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Monroe was preceded in death by his first wife, Alda Williams Monroe; his parents, Charlie and Fannie Monroe; two sons; and a daughter.

Claude Dickerson,
92, of Salem, died Oct. 28 at Livingston Hospital in Salem.
Dickerson was a member and deacon at Old Salem Baptist Church. He was a retired school teacher and was Livingston County Property Valuation Administrator for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Muriel Dickerson of Salem; a son, Glenn Dickerson of Burna; four daughters, Beulah Holt of Benton and Bonnie Hosick, Lesia Hunter and Charlotte Belt, all of Salem; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
His parents were Henry W. and Florence Belt Dickerson. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at Boyd Funeral Chapel in Salem with Rev. Jerry Thurman and Rev. Albert Robison officiating. Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery.
Roberts
William R. Roberts, 69, of Salem, died Oct. 24 at his son's home
in Shepherdsville. He was retired from Southern Pipeline. He was
a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Lola Baptist Church.
He was born in Marion on March 2, 1930 to Gobel and Salley James Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Singleton Roberts; four children, Sheila Ellis, Angela Yurt, Robbin Lester and Greg Roberts, Sr.; two sisters, Virginia Morris and Margaret Sue Smith; three brothers, Merrill James, O.B. James and Donald James; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Roberts was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent James and Joyce James and his parents.

James R. "Ace" Cowan, 72, of Providence, died Nov. 1
at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville from injuries sustained
in an automobile accident.
He was a businessman and iron worker.
Cowan is survived by his wife, Jeanne Cowan of Providence; two sons, Richard Chris Cowan of Annadale, Va. and Deron J. Cowan of Newburgh, Ind.; a daughter, Mary Teresa Lucas of Pomona, N.Y.; two sisters, Billie Doris Crider of Marion and Patsy Greer of Smithland; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Nov. 4 at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kentucky Baptist Childrens' Home.

Roy Catherine DeBoe, 85, of Brighton, Mich. formerly of Gilbertsville,
died Oct. 18 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor,

She is survived by a sister, Betty Dempsey of Brighton, Mich.; a niece, Nina Jean Murray of Brighton; two nephews, Jack Melton of Memphis, Mich. and Tim Melton of Detroit, Mich.; several great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; and several great-great-great nieces and nephews.
DeBoe was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert DeBoe; her parents Guss and Laud Catherine Melton; and a brother, Donley Melton.

Hollis F. Wring, 72, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Frances,
died Oct. 16 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.
He retired in 1980 from Chicago Motor Club after 18 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, June Wring of Indianapolis; a daughter, Patricia Smith of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a son Gary Wring of Indianapolis; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herschel and Alice (McClure) Wring; a brother, Northern Wring; and a sister, Edna Brasher.

Lee Witherspoon, 56, of Caldwell County, died Oct. 13 at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Witherspoon, Sr., of Caldwell County; her mother, Dorothy Cotton of Lamasco; four sons, Neal Harper of Lyon County, Ronnie Wesley Witherspoon and Steve Witherspoon, both of Caldwell County and Jeff Witherspoon of Marion; a brother, Dixie Cotton of Princeton.

Ruby Peek, 80, of Dycusburg, died Oct. 13. She was a member of
Dycusburg United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Ray Peek of Dycusburg; two sons, Steve Peek and Neil Peek, both of Dycusburg; a brother, Russell Rednour of Arizona; a sister, Barbara Conner of Grand Rivers; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda June Smith; two brothers, Everett Rednour and Vernon Rednour; four sisters, Lulla Belle Martin, Alice Brown, Maggie Shewcraft and Helen Gray.
Her parents were James Marion and Lydia Florence Sullivan Rednour.

Jane Gorham, 81, of Paducah, died Oct. 12 at Oakview Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center at Calvert City.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paducah where she served as a Sunday school teacher and choir member.
Gorham was retired from
VISA Division of the U.S. State Department in Washington, D.C.,
where she served as a foreign affairs officer. She was a Duchess
of Paducah.
Survivors include a sister, Rosemary Dunning of Paducah; 10 nieces;
and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Gorham; two sisters; and five brothers. Her parents were Will and Nellie Threlkeld Pope.

Hooper
Sidney Owen Hooper, 57, of Nashville, Tenn., a longtime spokeswoman
for the Tennessee State Department of Education, died Oct. 10
of cancer at her home.
Hooper began her career under Gov. Buford Ellington and served in six administrations. Those who worked with her said she was truly dedicated to the agency and truly a gifted communicator. She graduated from Vanderbilt University and was later admitted to the Tennessee Bar after attaining a degree in law, was responsible for public information, including the department's internet website. She was also a liaison for the governor's office and was the agency publication liasion.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Hooper; a daughter, Kelly Owen; a son, Jim Owen; her mother and stepfather, Ethel and John William Chandler, formerly of Marion; and two grandchildren, all of Nashville.
Hooper was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Evalyn Shelby Roberts of Marion.
Graveside services were held Oct. 13 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Memory Gardens in Nashville.

Pace
Calvin Kenneth Pace, 72, of Fort Walton Beach,
Fla., formerly of Marion, died Oct. 1.
Pace was a member of the U.S. Navy Underwater Demolition Team during World War II. Later he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he flew B-52s until his retirement in 1965 as a Major. After retirement, he worked for the Central Intelligence Agency in Southeast Asia, earning the Intelligence Star, the second highest award for bravery, and retired in 1975. Pace then received an accounting degree and worked as an accountant and comptroller.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Pace of Fort Walton Beach; a brother, Harry Pace; a daughter, Suzanne Brewer of Tallahassee, Fla.; a son Morris Roy Pace, II of Tallahassee; and five grandchildren.
Private services were held by the family. Burial will be conducted at a later date in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla.

Gerald "Buddy" Meeks, 52, of Princeton
died Oct. 3 at Caldwell County Hospital.
He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5595. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Meeks is survived by his wife Barbara Meeks of Princeton; his parents, Eugene and Mary Meeks of Marion; three daughters, Dana Sorrells of Lyon County, Leslie McGoldrick of Dawson Springs and Kathy Rollins of Lyon County; two brothers, Tommy Meeks of Marion and Dale Meeks of Sturgis; three sisters, Patsy Locke, Faye Binkley and Louise Givens, all of Marion; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters Lisa Dawn Meeks and Paula Faye Meeks.

W.D. "Brownie" Brown, 75, of Owensboro died Sept. 27
at his home.
Brown was a retired superintendant for Green Coal Company and had owned and operated Livestock Transport Trucking Company. He was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church. He was a member of the Yellow Banks Good Sam Camping Club, the Boyd-Greenup County Chamber of Commers, an honorary sheriff of Greenup County and an avid sports fan of NASCAR racing and U.K. basketball. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Colleen Brown; two sons, Allen Brown of Owensboro and James Vineyard of Terre Haute, Ind.; two daughters, Jerry Nell McKinney of Marion and Judy Vineyard of Terre Haute; a sister, Dorothy Bowman of Owensboro; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 30 at James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Dan Bug, 96, of Fredonia died Sept. 26 at his home.
Bugg was a retired farmer, a member of the Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served many years as an elder and Sunday school teacher, was a director of the Fredonia Valley Bank for 50 years and served on the Soil Conservation Agency.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Evangeline Bugg of Fredonia; two sons, J.D. Bugg of Fredonia; Bill Bugg of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a daughter, Joann Martin of New Salisbury, Ind.; three sisters, Maude Beavers and Kathleen Perkins, both of Fredonia, Ruby Baugh of Drakesboro; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Calvary Holiness Church and former pastor of Loveless Chapel Pentecostal Church in Salem, where he served for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife Edna Mae Ramage of Ledbetter; a daughter, Sue Peach of Ledbetter; a son, Roy Ramage of Ledbetter; a foster daughter, Dorothy Pugh of West Paducah; a brother, Hascal Ramage of Alton, Ill.; a sister, Ethel Belt of Salem; several nieces and nephews; and one granddaughter.

Braswell
Abbie S. Braswell, 87, of Cincinnati, formerly of Livingston County,
died Aug. 17 at Jewish Hospital in Kenwood, Ohio.
Braswell served as president, secretary and treasurer of the National Executive Housekeepers Organization. She was a teacher and mail carrier in Livingston County for several years. She was a member of Birdsville Baptist Church and attended the Church of the Nazarene in Cincinnati.
Surviving are a brother, Everett Edmonds of Livingston County; three nephews and seven nieces.
Her parents were Albert Sidney and Anna C. Litton Edmonds.
Funeral services were held Aug. 20 at Boyd Funeral Chapel at Salem. Burial was in Edmonds Cemetery.
Mitchell
Delmer Mitchell, 80, of Burna, died Aug. 19
at his home.
He was a member of Dyer Hill Baptist Church where he served as deacon, Sunday School teacher, trustee and fulfilled other offices. He spent five years in the U. S. Air Force, seeing tours in Germany, France and England as a Staff Sgt. He was the first man from Livingston County to be drafted.
Mitchell was a 50-year member of Logan Clark Post 217 at Burna, where he served as commander and service officer for the post.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty Mitchell of Burna; two sons, Steve Mitchell of Big Piney, Wyoming and Don Mitchell of Paducah; two granddaughters, Lori Mitchell and Valerie Ramsey; a grandson, Shawn Ramsey; a brother, Lyman Mitchell of Cleveland, Ohio; and a sister, Viola Sailors of Smithland.
He was preceded in death
by Leonard and Lessie Mitchell; three brothers and two sisters.

Arnold was a retired ordained General Baptist minister and was a member of Barnett General Baptist Church. He was in the restaurant business for over 37 years and founded Arnold Burgers in Amarillo in 1983.

Mary Clyta Brown Horning, 89, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Marion,
died July 21 at Ocoee Health Care in Orlando.
She was a graduate of Shady Grove High School and attended Bowling Green State Teachers' College and was a graduate of Murray State Teachers' College. She taught in Kentucky and Florida for 31 years. Horning was a member of the Orange County Retired Teacher's Association and College Park Baptist Church in Orlando.
She is survived by two daughters, Millie Peters of Louisville and Monna Perry of Orlando; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held in Florida. Burial was in Shady Grove with Rev. Franklin Hill officiating.

Ruby Terry Crider, 91, formerly of Fredonia, died July 14 at River's
Bend Retirement Center in Kuttawa.
She was the oldest member of the First Baptist Church in Freonia.
Crider is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Max Bynum of Fredonia; a grandson, Tom Bynum of Calvert City; a great-grandson; a sister, Opal Rice of Gardena, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Crider.

Todd was a charter member and deacon of Emmanuel Baptist Church; the retired teachers' association; a Kentucky Colonel; a member of the soil conservation board; a member of the retired vocational agricultural teachers of America; a tax volunteer; and a member of the Masonic Lodge #256. Todd received his Master's Degree from the University of Kentucky and his Bachelor's Degree from Murray State University.
Todd also served as a military policeman during World War II.

Jesse Lee Adams, 64, of Farmington died Sunday at Lourdes Hospital
in Paducah.
Adams was a member of Soldier Creek Primitive Baptist Church in
Marshall County and a retired farmer. He received the Master Conservationist
Award from the Graves Conservation District and was a former FFA
State Farmer.
He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Highfil of Marion; a son, Randy Adams of Farmington; two brothers, James Adams of Farmington and Hoyt Adams of Cuba; two sisters, Rebecca Murdock of Lynn Grove and Evelyn Smoot of Mayfield; and two grandchildren, Jake Highfil and Jesse Highfil of Marion.
Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Adams.

86, of Cave In Rock, Ill., died June 4 at City Care Center in
Eldorado, Ill.
Frailey is survived by three sons, Johnnie Frailey of Cave In Rock, Gary Frailey of Rosiclaire, Ill., and Winthol Frailey of Marion; a daughter, Gladys Clanton of Panama City Beach, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Frailey.
Services were held June 6 at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave In Rock with Rev. Herbert Alexander officiating. Burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Kirk
Jacob Sherman Kirk, 82, formerly of Marion, died June 6 in Springfield,
Va.
He was a member of Emmanuel Bible Church and a veteran of World War II.
Kirk is survived two sons, Bobby Kirk of Springfield and Phillip Kirk of Manassas, Va.; two daughters, Carol Shackleford of Centerville, Va. and Joan Carrico of Louisville.; and three grandchildren, David Ritts of Centerville, Emma Carrico and Sara Carrico, both of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Kirk; and a sister, Ella May Kirk.
Burial was in Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Va.

Wilson "Andy" Andrews, 83, of Providence died June 4
at Methodist Hospital in Union County.
He was retired from L&N Railroad after 33 years of employment.
Andrews is survived by two sons, Ronnie Andrews of Owensboro and Ricky Andrews of Providence; two daughters, Wanda Pendergraff of Morganfield and Linda Robinson of Providence; a sister, Doshie Joyce of Cynthiana; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Odes and Nola Shuecraft; four brothers and three sisters.

Rev. William Russell Koonce, 69, of Eddyville, died June 2 at
Livingston Hospital.
He was the former pastor of General Assembly Church in Evansville.
He was the former owner and operator of Fifth Street Market in
Henderson, Liken's Market in Evansville and Koonce Food Fair in
Mt. Carmel, Ill.
Koonce is survived by his wife, Veronica Koonce of Eddyville; a son, William Koonce, Jr. of Mulberry, Fla.; three daughters, Martha Hall of Smithland, Ruth Little of Eddyville, and Russella "Sue" Peek of Dycusburg; two brothers, Ralph Koonce of Henderson and Maurice Koonce of Salem; a sister Lucille Ball of Henderson; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Annie Koonce; and two sons.
Graveside services were held June 5 at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson with Rev. John Peach officiating.

Bobby Lee Hopkins, 67, of Glasgow, formerly of Marion, died June
1 at NHC Health Care Center in Glasgow.
Hopkins was a retired telephone construction worker, a Korean War Veteran and a member of Glasgow Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Cindy Garrett of Glasgow; three sons, Curtis Hopkins of Hunterville, N.C., Dusty Hopkins of Madison, Ala. and David Hopkins of Seattle, Wash.; three sisters, Velda Hodges of Marion; Lula Mae Gostley of Evansville, Ind., and Nancy Rushing of Huntsville, Ala.; a brother, Hollis Hopkins of Arizona; and four grandchildren, Amy Hammer and Ashley Garrett of Glasgow, Lacey Hopkins and Erin Hopkins, both of North Carolina.
Hopkins was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Hopkins; a sister, Dora Miller; a brother, Ray Hopkins; and his parents.
Funeral services were held June 3 with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery in Glasgow.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Anschuetz of Clarksville, Tenn.; his mother, Grace Lawrence of Lola; two sisters, Geneva Williams of Marion and Christine Nelms of Lola; a brother, Harold Damron of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; and a grandchild.
Damron was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Damron.

She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Curry of Tennessee; three sisters, Lizzie Lemon of Allegan, Mich., Edith Dowling of Hollywood, Calif. and Delia Noel of Burna; three brothers, Frank Curry of Nashville, Tenn., Charlie Curry of Augusta, Mich. and Ronnie Curry of Parchment, Mich; and two grandchildren.

Donald "Frog" Croft, Sr., 67, of Marion died May 31
at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
He is survied by his wife, Betty Croft of Marion; a son, Donald Croft, Jr., of Marion; a brother, Kenneth Croft of Petersburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Croft was preceded in death by his parents, Orbie and Mary Ellen Croft.

Thomas S. Croft,
73, of Marion, died May 24 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
He was a Marion City Police Officer from 1978 to 1983.
Croft is survived by his wife, Maxine Croft of Marion; a son, Gary Croft of Marion; a sister, Anna Nell Nation of Bradenton, Fla.; and two grandchildren, John Croft and Melissa Croft of Marion.

He died May 23.
Massey was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a retired employee of RCA.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Imogene Massey, of Decatur; a son Jack Massey, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Janet Massey of Indianapolis; a daughter, Bridget Borden, of Decatur; six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; a brother, Leon Massey of Burna; and a sister, Carleen Kemper of Frankfort.

She was a member of Dawson Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
Berry is survived by three sons, Col. William Ford of Lebanon, Ill., Norman Ford of Hanson and Bobby Joe Ford, Madisonville; a brother, George Lanham of Marion; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Johnie Starnes, 86, of Marion, died May 23 at Livingston Hospital.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the 101st Airborne
Division.
Starnes is survived by a son, John Starnes of Marion; two sisters, Annie Revels of Ft. Pierce, Fla. and Mary Calley of St. Mary, Fla.; a brother, Ed Starnes of Ft. Pierce; a grandson; and four great-grandchildren.

Robert Weldon, 72, of Evansville, Ind. died May 22 at his home.
Weldon was a retired sheet metal worker and Union Steward for George Koch and Sons. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2953, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Weldon; two daughters, Vickie Hobdy of Chandler, Ind. and Teresa Brown of Evansville; three sons, Robert Weldon of Evansville, Mark Weldon of Maryland and Anthony Weldon of Evansville; a sister, Elba Monroe of Lexington; a brother, Eugene Weldon of San Marino, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Gladys Lee Lowery, 89, formerly of Tolu, died May 7 in Albuquerque,
N.M.
Lowery received a teaching certificate from Western Kentucky State Teacher's College in Bowling Green and taught in rural Crittenden County Schools near Tolu.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Koetting of New Mexico; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law and their families, Guy Lowery of Marion and Ollie "Pete" Lowery of Tolu.
Lowery was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wood Lowery; and a brother, William Eugene Tackwell.

Grace LaRue, 92, of Salem died May 3 at Crittenden County Convalescent
Center.
She was a graduate of Murray State University and a retired school teacher. She was also a member of Salem Baptist Church.
LaRue is survived by a brother, George Rogers of Lyon County; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace LaRue; two brothers; and her parents, Frank and Rene Rogers.

J.R. VanHooser, 98, formerly of Princeton, died May 4 at Crittenden
County Convalescent Center.
He was a retired factory worker of Borden Milk Plant and a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton.
VanHooser is survived by four sons, Carroll VanHooser of Norwich, Vt., David VanHooser of Huntsville, Ala., Jim VanHooser and Joe VanHooser, both of Princeton; a daughter, Ruth Chandler of Plymouth, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eulah Evelyn Varnell VanHooser; a daughter, Fannie Mae VanHooser; and his parents, John and Fannie VanHooser.

She was a retail sales clerk at Young's Department Store in Madisonville. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Madisonville and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star Lodge in Marion.
Stewart is survived by two daughters, Mary Mitchell of Phoenix, Ariz. and Linda Moss and son-in-law, Wayne Moss of Roanoke, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, John, Sr. and Nora Stewart of Madisonville; two sisters; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett "Jack" Stewart; her parents, Efrim and Via Poore; and eight sisters and brothers.

Thelma Grimes, 82, of Salem died April 27 at Livingston Hospital.
She is survived by three sons, Orbin Grimes, Jr., of Ledbetter, Herman Grimes and Don Grimes both of Salem; a sister, Lavene Cavanaugh of Hopkinsville; two brothers, Roy Guess of California and Charles Guess of Idaho; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Grimes was preceded in death by her husband, Orbin Grimes, Sr.; a grandson; a brother; three sisters; and her parents, Elbert and Minnie Mae Driver Guess.

Frankie Davidson, 97, of Burna died April 30 at her home.
She was a teacher in the Livingston County School System for 38 years. She was a graduate of Livingston County High School and Murray State University with a degree in mathematics and did graduate work at the University of Kentucky. She was the oldest member of Dyer Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by a stepson, Harry Davidson of Homewood, Ill.; a step-granddaughter, Joan Markstein of Cocoa, Fla.; and a step-grandson, Fred Davidson, of Urbana , Ill.
Davidson was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Davidson; her parents, Ivery and Millie Spicer; and a sister.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Jack McDowell Post #5484.
McDowell attended Green Grove Baptist Church in Providence.
She is survived by her husband, Ezra McDowell, Jr., of Providence; a son, Keith McDowell of Providence; a daughter, Theresa Phillips of Providence; four grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Russell of Dawson Springs; and a brother, Terry Ramsey of Earlington.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kent McDowell.
Funeral services were held March 24 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence with Revs. Mike Hancock and Jimmy Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Smith
Nannie Smith, 98, of Frances, died March 19 at Crittenden County
Convalescent Center.
She is survived by three sisters, Fada Owen, Hattie Burton and Mae Howard of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly and Minta Maxfield Smith; four brothers; and two sisters.

Taylor died March 9 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in Okinawa for four years; a member of the American Legion and VFW Post 5484; a member of Victory Baptist Church; and Masonic Lodge 148. Taylor also served two terms on the Providence School Board and was past president of the Shady Grove Cemetery Association.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Taylor of Providence; three daughters, Lisa Lucas of Dixon, Penny Cuddaback of Cadillac, Mich., and Peggy Davids of Moscow, Mo.; two sisters, Jeanetta Bohannon of Sarasota, Fla., and Bernice Villines of Paducah; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Scott
Charles E. Scott, 68, of Calvert City, died March 13 at Princeton
Health Care Manor in Princeton.
Scott was a member of the Army, Air Force and National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW Post 5486 in Sturgis, Fraternal Order of Eagles and a Kentucky Colonel.
Scott is survived by his wife, Virginia Brown Scott of Calvert City; a son, Steve Scott of Cadiz; a daughter, Tammy McGregor of Eddyville; four step-children, Roger Green of Paducah, Gary Green of Corydon, Billy Green of Louisville and Patricia Duvall of Calvert City; and two grandchildren.

Earl "Dutch" Ashby, 82, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Marion,
died March 10 at his home.
He was a member of Independence Missionary Baptist Church near McHenry and a member of Bigham Masonic Lodge #256 F&AM in Marion.
Ashby is survived by two
sons, Neal Ashby and Earl Ashby of Beaver Dam; two daughters,
Ellen Moorman and Captola Southard of Beaver Dam; a brother, Bardwell
Ashby of Beaver Dam; a sister, Neal Berryman of Beaver Dam; two
stepsons, Kent Stone and Danny Stone both of Marion; 16 grandchildren;
and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ashby; a son, Sherrill
Ashby; and a daughter Linda Ashby.

William C. "Toad" Henry, Sr., 72, of Genesco, Ill.,
formerly of Dycusburg, died March 13 at Hammond-Henry Hospital
in Genesco.
He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Andalusia, Ill., Operating Engineers Local #150, Andalusia Masonic Lodge #516 A.F. & A.M., Eastern Star #617, 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rites Valley of Moline, and served as a past officer on the Andalusia Chamber of Commerce.
Suvivors include his wife, Lois Henry of Genesco; two sons, William Henry, Jr. of Genesco and Charles Henry of Davenport, Ill.; two daughters, Glenice Myers and Dianne Johnson of Genesco; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Edna Hendrick of Cerulean, Ky., Helen Teer of Salem, Dorothy Henry and Clarice Coleman of Marion; and a brother, Onis Henry of Rosiclare, Ill.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Beulah Henry; and three brothers, Edward Henry, Charles Henry and Marvin Henry.
Services were held March 16 at Know-Larson Funeral Home in Rock Island, Ill. Burial will be in the Dycusburg Cemetery at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 20.
Walker
Services for Glenn Walker, 78 of Richmond, formerly of Marion,
were held March 14 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Burt Bronaugh
officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
He died March 11 at his home.
Walker served on the Marion City Council, Farmers Bank Board of Directors and the Crittenden County Public Library Board. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. Walker was the owner of Crittenden Motor Company.
Surviving are a son, Ben Walker of Richmond; one brother, Doyle Walker of Lexington; one sister, Melville Mayes of Paducah; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Walker.

Graveside services for Lena Marie Wells, 84, of Marion were held

Wells died March 15 at Crittenden Hospital.
She is survived by several cousins.
Wells was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wells.
Frazer
Long-time Marion businessman Ted Frazer, Sr., 98, of Marion, died
March 8 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
Frazer, a registered pharmacist, founded City Drug Store in 1926 and retired in 1991. The drug store, with its trademark soda fountan, was a highly popular business in Marion throughout most of the century. The drug store closed earlier this decade, but was reopened under new ownership as Thom's Sweet Shoppe two years ago. Its new owners have preserved the integrity of the old drug store by decorating the sandwich and gift shop with many of the store's original furnishings.
Frazer, known by many as a courteous gentleman and shrewd businessman, was a 75-year member of Bigham Masonic Lodge #256, a lifelong member of Marion United Methodist Church and a member of the Kiwanis Club. Frazer continued to attend weekly services at church until a few years ago when his health began to fail.
Frazer was the last surviving son the late Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Frazer.
Surviving are two sons, Ted Frazer, Jr., of Marion and Thomas Roe Frazer of Sturgis; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Frazer was preceded in death by his wife, Melba "Babe" Frazer.
Visitation was held Wednesday night at Gilbert Funeral Home. Thursday visitation was held Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon at Gilbert Funeral Home and from noon until 2 p.m. at Marion United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday at Marion United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Spurrier and Rev. T.D. Everett officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
McCormick
Services for Ruby Lee Powell McCormick, 74, of Clay, were held

She was a homemaker and a member of First Southern Baptist Church.

Hollis was a member of Repton Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from IBM after 25 years. He was an assistant manager of the Sturgis Airport.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Gloria Hollis of Marion; a daughter, Mrs. John Menser of Dawson Springs; a son, George Hollis of Washington, Ind.; five brothers, Ronnie Hollis, Jimmy Hollis, Larry Hollis and Dale Hollis, all of Sturgis, and Eugene Hollis of Somerset.

and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Marion.

McDaniel died Jan. 24 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was a member and deacon of Barnett Chapel General Baptist Church, and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He was named the Crittenden County Farmer of the Year in 1984.
Survivors include his wife, Mona; a son, Joe McDaniel of Marion; two daughters, Janet Gregory and Marie Yates, both of Marion; two sisters, Ruby Hodge of Marion and Helen Nichols of Evansville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His parents were Miles and Pearl Croft McDaniel. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Enterkin
Sarah Travis Hopson Enterkin, 76, of Marion, died Jan. 24 at her
home.
She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church and the Crittenden County Hospital Auxiliary. She was an Eastern Star, White Shrine and a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Mills of Benton and Carla Rayburn of Mandeville, La.; a brother, Rabon Travis of Creswell, Ky.; a sister, Dorothy Tosh of Chandler, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Spurrier officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Frazer
Chastain Lynn "Chat" Frazer, 85, of Marion died Jan.
23 at his home.
He was a member of the Kentucky Ornithological Society and a member of Marion United Methodist Church. A graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Frazer was retired from Frazer Laboratory in Marion. He also attended Western Kentucky University.
Survivors include a daughter, Nanette Easley of Mayfield; a son, Lynn Frazer of Lexington; a brother, Ted Frazer Sr., of Marion; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Frazer, and a son, Jimmy Frazer.
Funeral services were held Jan. 25 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Spurrier officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Metcalf
Funeral services for Mary June Metcalf, 62, of Marion, were held
Jan. 26 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Archie Brock and Rev. Rodney
Groff officiated the service. Burial was in Mexico Cemetery.
Metcalf died of cancer Jan. 24 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. She was a member of Mexico Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Joe Kirchgessner of Hammond, Ind.; a daughter, Darci Metcalf of Marion; a sister, Patsy Karp of Chesterton, Ind.; and seven grandchildren.
Hackney
Bennie Allen Hackney, 40, of Princeton, died Jan. 20 at his home.
Survivors include a daughter, Lacy Marie Hackney of Evansville; his parents, Charles and Shirley Hackney of Marion; five brothers, Eddie Hackney, Clark Hackney and Joey Hackney, all of Marion, Ronnie Hackney of Smithland, Dean Hackney of Ledbetter; five sisters, Diann Shuecraft, Sharon Tinsley and Donita James, all of Marion, Naomi Garrett of Morganfield and Jeanette Doom of Mexico, Ky.; several nieces; two great-nephews and two great-nieces.

Bob Lee James, 72, of Dawson Springs died Jan. 22 at Senior Citizens
Nursing Home in Dawson Springs. He was a retired logger, coal
truck owner and farmer. He served in the U.S. Army and was of
Protestant faith.
Funeral services were held Jan. 24 at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs. Rev. Phillip Bennett and Rev. John Massey officiated. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary James of Dawson Springs; a daughter, Geneva Faye Orten of Dawson Springs; a step-daughter, Debbie Littlepage of Madisonville; three sons, Robert Jason James of Mortons Gap; Eldon James and Jarvis James, both of Dawson Springs; two sisters, Nina Winn and Norma Freeman, both of Marion; two brothers, Ray James and Reed James, both of Marion; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild.

James A. Watson, 63, of Cedar Lake, Ind., formerly of Livingston
County, died Jan. 3 at his home.
Surviving are a daughter, Stephanie Watson of Chicago; a son, James. M. Watson of Florida; two adopted children, Amanda Watson and Chris Watson, both of Cedar Lake; a sister, Bonnie Watson of Salem; two brothers, Pete Watson of Evansville, and Paul Watson of Elkhart, Ind.; and his step father, John Robertson of Grand Rivers.
His parents were Hershel and Alta Singleton Watson.

Driskill
Mildred Driskell, 78, of Smithland, died Jan. 5 at Calvert City
Convalescent Center.
She is survived by two sons, Ben Driskell of Ledbetter and Jim Driskill of Smithland; a brother, Elmer "Dub" Quertermous of Smithland; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Driskill was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Driskill.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 8 at Smith Funeral Home with Billy Butler and Joel Smith officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery.
Hodge
Ruby Hodge, 95, of Marion, died Jan. 6 at Medco Nursing Home in
Morganfield.
Hodge is survived by four daughters, June Sterling of Marion, Jean Waterloo of Little Rock, Ark., Joan Garcia of Las Vegas and Arlene Salazar of Freeport, Texas; one stepdaughter, Hazel Yates of Salem; three sons, Vernon Hodge of Ocala, Fla., Donald Hodge of Marion and Gerald Hodge of Sterling Heights, Mich.; and a stepson, Hayden Hodge of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon E. Hodge; a sister; and five brothers. Her parents were Ed and Sarah McDonald Cruce.

Lorene Karr, 84, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., formerly of Carrsville,
died Jan. 6 at Palm Beach Gardens Hospital.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Powers of Palm Beach Gardens; a son, Robert Karr of New Orleans; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Her parents were Harry and Roxie Cowsert Mick.

Lillian Michonski, 75, of Salem, died Jan. 8 at her home.
Surviving are three daughters, Pat Moore of Salem, Donna Jablonski of North Palm Beach, Fla., and Gloria Franklin of Park, Ill.; six sons, Anthony Michonski of Salem, Michael Michonski of Marion, Wis., Joseph Michonski of Shawano, Wis., Daniel Michonski of Addison, Ill., Benjamin Michonski Jr. of Leopolis, Wis., and Timothy Michonski of Villa Park, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Michonski Sr.

Clay Johnson, 75, of Salem, died Jan. 9 at his home.
He is survived by a daughter, Henrietta Binkley of Salem; three sons, John C. Johnson of Hobart, Ind., Bill Johnson of Paducah, and Doug Johnson of Frances; four brothers, Walter Johnson of Kuttawa, Grant Johnson of Arkansas, Wayne Johnson of Madisonville, and Henry Johnson of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Violet Blue of Hanson, Ky., 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Roy Lemon, 76, of Marion, died Jan. 5 at Crittenden Hospital.
He was a member of the Marion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife Betty of Marion; a son, Robert Lemon of Louisville; a brother, James Lemon of Hamilton, Ohio; a sister, Rosa Croft of Marion; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His parents were Rosa and James Lemon. He was preceded in death by a sister, Velda Lemon Simpkins.

Edna Drennan Cox, 94, of Providence, died Jan. 4 at Shemwell Nursing
Home in Providence.
Cox taught school in Caldwell, Crittenden and Webster counties for 53 years. She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Haroldlene Gobin of Providence; two granddaughters, Johnetta Fritz of Clay and Shanda Belt of Madisonville; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shady Grove Baptist Church or to the Visionary Fund at the General Baptist Church in Providence.

Charles A. Eslinger, 69, of Marion, died Jan. 2 at Crittenden
Hospital. He was retired from NIPSCO.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Eslinger of Marion; five daughters, Marie Binkley of Marion, Sandra Black of Rensselaer, Ind., Joyce Goodman of Pierce, Ill., Opal Burscno and Patricia Bruce, both of Paris, Ill.; a son, Charles Eslinger, Jr., of Monticello, Ind.,; two step sons, David Pirlot of Wheatfield, Ind., and Allen Pirlot of Rensselaer, Ind.; two brothers, George Eslinger of Mt. View, Mo., and Dean Eslinger of Scotland, Ill; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Archie Woodall, Jr., 60, of Stamping Ground, Ky., died Jan. 3
at his home. Woodall was a native of Crittenden County, and was
a retired teacher and coach at Bryan Station High School. He was
a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Reed Woodall; his mother, Geneva Blakey Woodall; a daughter, Elicia June Myall of Gilbert, S.C.; two sons, Paul Aaron Woodall of Salina, Kansas and Paul Douglas Woodall of Stamping Ground; two sisters, Sherrie Stidham of Scott County and Mary Lowell of Georgetown; a brother, James Robert Woodall of Jackson, Wyom.; and seven grandchildren, Jesse Burgess, Kristi and Tommy Myall, Victorya, Sarah, Rebecca and Elicia Marie Woodall.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Archie Woodall, Sr.
