Demetric Moss rushed for his second straight 100-plus game, getting four touchdowns and 136 yards on the ground. Quarterback Sean Thompson threw for an even 100 yards on 3-of-5 accuracy and Ryan Bradham had 132 all-purpose yards, including a 76-yard kickoff return to start the game.
Bradham's big return at the opening whistle got the Rockets off to a quick start as Moss broke loose on the first play from scrimmage for a 15-yard touchdown run. The early points was just what the homecoming crowd wanted and it gave Crittenden plenty of momentum to squash the 1-6 Bulldogs.
Fulton City's offense was miserable and Crittenden's always tough defense took full advantage of the hapless 'Dogs. Crittenden pinned Fulton for negative yardage on 12 of its 25 plays from scrimmage, including minus-29 on two big sacks by senior defensive end Zack Beverly.
Fumbles continue to plague the Rockets
as they put the ball on the turf seven times and lost five of
those fumbles. Two were lost inside the red zone. The Rockets have
now lost nine fumbles in the last two games and 18 in eight games
this season. Opponents have lost 11 fumbles to the Rockets.
Rocket starters got to
watch from the sideline in the fourth quarter as the second-teamers
mopped up.
