for a couple of goal line carries, and almost scored his first career touchdown
before being stopped at the one-yard line.

Rockets blow out Caverna
Crittenden moves to 2-1 in district

Marion, Ky. (Oct. 17, 2003) - Crittenden County scored 25 points in the first period and led 40-0 at the half en route to a blowout victory at home over district newcomer Caverna.

Crittenden scored touchdowns on its first six possessions of the game, then coasted through an ugly second half marred by three Rocket fumbles.

The victory came easily for Crittenden as quarterback Sean Thompson threw for two touchdowns and rushed for a team-high 81 yards. Rocket senior Demetric Moss ran for a couple of TDs and Blake Gardner caught one touchdown pass and rushed for another.

Even junior lineman David King got in on the action, picking up a Rocket fumble as it crossed the goal line into the end zone for a second-quarter touchdown.

Cody Robinson caught his fourth touchdown pass of the season to start the offensive onslaught as Crittenden piled up 351 yards of total offense compared to just 97 for the 1-7 Colonels.

The Rockets will be on the road next week to take on Hancock County in what will be a showdown for second place in the Second District standings.
